What's in it for me as a supplier?

Isn’t it great to know the areas in which your business excels? Conversely, did you know that only 10% of customers typically complain to your face? That means that in around 90% of cases you could be doing something wrong and no one will even tell you about it!

When you register as an Supplier on the ESO website all users of the website will then have the ability to rank your performance in the following areas:

  • Price
  • Service
  • Delivery
  • Quality

What if you dont want to be ranked?

Whilst we beleive this feature can be of great benefit to your business, we understand and respect the fact that that some of you may not want have your business ranked.  If this is the case, simply let us know via email when you sign up and we will disable this feature from your particular ESO Minisite.  You will get all the other features, just without the ranking system.

How do we ensure the ranking system is not abused?

There are a number of ways in which we ensure that the ESO ranking system is not abused or mis-treated to the detriment of Suppliers on the site:

  • Users must all be registered before they can complete a ranking
  • Users may only rank a supplier once per month
  • All rankings are reviewed by ESO before they are listed on the site.  This is to ensure that the ranking complies with the terms of use of the site (ie no abusive langauge, swearing etc)
  • In cases where we believe the ranking may be malicious in intent, we will confirm that the email of the user is valid (this stops rankings being made from fictional email addresses)
  • Where a ranking is listed on the site and the average ranking is less than 2.0, an email will be sent automatically and immediately to the supplier.  This enables the Supplier to respond directly to the ranking with their side of the story and do so before other users see the ranking.
  • Since we can see all rankings that are submitted, we will also pick up any other applicable abuse of the system which results in rankings that are less than fair and reasonable to our Suppliers
  • If a Supplier has reason to believe that a ranking is deliberately misleading or malicious in intent, then we encourage them to contact us immediately.

How does it benefit your business?

This will be of great benefit to your business because not only do you know how you are being perceived by the engineering public, but you can use this information to improve your performance in targeted areas or provide quantified feedback to your staff on how well they are doing.

For example, if your price is great but your service needs improving, then this will be reflected in the rankings you receive. This then allows you to focus consciously on improving your level of service. As you receive your ranking information in the months ahead you will be able to measure the effect of any changes you have made in the updated service ranking you are receiving.

This continuous feedback system measuring your business’s performance is provided to you entirely FREE. You can’t put a price on information like this! This information is included when you register as an ESO supplier!
