Immediate opportunities exist at Melbourne engineering consultancies for experienced structural design engineers.
Despite the Structural Engineering market, currently experiencing turbulence, a number of our clients utilising long term relationships are have secured a number of confirmed building projects. As a result, there are immediate needs for Senior Structural Engineers.
Working on a range of medium scale commercial, residential and institutional building projects, your responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive structural design and analysis
- Site inspections and associated report writing
- Liaising with builders, architects and clients
- Managing project time frames
- Coordinating drafters
- Assisting junior engineers
As the ideal applicant you will have:
- A Bachelor of Engineering
- Circa 5 years + structural engineering experience in a consulting environment
- A good knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards
- Previous experience in the design of reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good time management skills
- The desire to further develop your structural engineering career
