This well reputed design consultancy focuses on architectural lighting design and has an established portfolio and profile nationally and internationally. They require a talented and ambitious Business and Design Manager to deliver a program of growth and manage the Melbourne office over the next several years with a long term option of equity for the right person. You will be responsible for winning and managing the delivery of Architectural Lighting Design projects. Your industry knowledge and experience will determine your approach to the market.
The consultancy has a small presence in Melbourne with a greater capability in Sydney. This will mean that while you will be joining a group with a broad ranging portfolio of completed projects and an excellent industry reputation you will have the chance to put your stamp on the development of the Melbourne business. Initially there will be Project Delivery support from the Sydney office.
As the ideal candidate you will have an accomplished creative design background that is most likely to be in the fields of Lighting, Architecture or Interior Design but importantly you will have a drive and passion to build and grow a successful business. You will have established industry knowledge that will allow you to quickly identify and secure projects. The growth and success of the Melbourne team will be reliant on your ability to effectively market the aesthetic vision of the business. There will be opportunity and requirement for travel for work while the primary location is Melbourne.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly successful and well networked design professional with experience leading and developing a team or division in a larger organisation and is now looking to have a more direct impact in a business. Your remuneration will primarily be based on your level of experience with the bonus structure indexed to the success of the business.
