Facilities Manager - Local Government


With growth & continual improvement at the forefront of this council, our client based in the southern suburbs of Melbourne require a Facilities Manager/Asset Manager to contribute on numerous projects relating to their Capital Improvement Program for the councils facilities and building assets.

You key responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare, coordinate and implement the Facilities and Building Asset Management Plans
  • Develop, implement and manage the corporate Asset Management Framework & Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Consult with various stakeholders to ensure that the facilities delivered, agree to the service levels in respect to councils policies and procedures.
  • Implement a Facilities and Building Asset Management System that ensures effective and efficient maintenance for Facilities and Building assets.
  • Assist in the development of a Capital Improvement Program for councils facilities and building assets
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Civil Engineering Degree or similar qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of Facilities and Building Asset Management Plans
  • The ability to understand government policy and interpret local implications
  • The confidence and compassion dealing with various stakeholders with different objectives
  • Well developed written and communication skills
