Are you a Senior Construction Engineer with over 12 years experience delivering large scale projects relating to Roads, Bridges and Drainage new works and the construction of new subdivisional development projects?
Due to an increase in workload this municipal is actively seeking a candidate who can hit the ground running, show commitment and enthusiasm in the workplace and can effectively and efficiently work as a team within their Project Delivery department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage the construction of Council's Road, Bridge and Drainage New Works Programme to ensure all projects are completed within budget and within required timelines
- Liaise with design consultancies, contractors, internal departments, community groups and the public.
- Implement and supervise construction standards as set out under current construction codes and standards.
- Manage each of the project stages including project design, tendering, construction and post construction through to handover.
- Perform contract administration tasks as required.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- A tertiary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering (or a related technical discipline) recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Circa 12 years + experience working as a Project Manager or Construction Manager on civil and/or municipal works.
- Experience working for a Local Government would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to mediate across multi-functional or multi-discipline teams in order to achieve agreed objectives
- In-depth knowledge of project and construction management procedures relating to civil works
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Very good time management skills
